Accessibility at Westquay

For guests who need a little extra space or specialist support, our Changing Places facility is located on Level 1.

It includes a wall-mounted bench and hoist, designed with dignity and comfort in mind.

A Radar key is required to access the space — simply speak to a member of our team, or borrow one from the control room if needed.

We know that ease and independence matter — that’s why Westquay Shopmobility is here to help make every visit more accessible.

Operated by Southampton Voluntary Services, the service is located on Level 0 of the Podium Car Park, with dedicated parking available nearby (standard Podium parking rates apply).

Whether you’re hiring a scooter, powerchair or manual wheelchair, options are available for both members and non-members.

Westquay is proud to offer a Cubbie sensory pod — a private, technology-enabled space designed to help visitors self-regulate and feel calm. The Cubbie provides adjustable lighting, sound, and visuals to create a personalised sensory experience for anyone who may feel overwhelmed in busy environments.

You will find 'Cubbie' located on Level 2, opposite Costa.

Westquay recognises that shopping centres can sometimes feel loud or overwhelming. To help create a calmer environment, we hold Quiet Time every Monday from 9am to 11am. During this period, mall music is turned off and tannoy announcements are kept to a minimum, offering a more relaxing shopping experience for those who prefer a quieter atmosphere.
