Community at Westquay

We’re proud to support the people, groups and organisations doing brilliant things across Southampton. Whether you're looking to run a community event or explore partnership opportunities, here’s everything you need to know.

Using space at Westquay

If you’re a local community group, CIC or non-profit operating near the centre and would like to use mall, unit or outdoor space for an event or activity, you must complete our Events Enquiry Form:

Westquay Event Application Form

Please ensure all relevant details are included in your submission so our team can properly review your request.

Submitting this form does not confirm your event. While we would love to support everyone, the high volume of enquiries means we’re unable to respond to every request. When reviewing requests, we prioritise activity that is engaging, interactive and delivers meaningful value to our visitors and the wider community.

We prioritise requests where:

There’s a clear community need

The activity is more than just a static collection or sign-up

It creates a reason for people to stop, take part and connect

Please note:

We’re currently unable to accept any further requests for mall, unit or outdoor space due to existing commitments.

We’re also unable to donate gift cards for raffles, prize draws or fundraisers.

Our community bursary scheme

Applications are now open for the Hammerson Charity Partner Bursary Scheme 2026. If you would like to apply for the 2026 bursary, please complete the below submission form:

Destination Charity Partner Bursary Scheme | Application Form 2026

The bursary supports charities delivering vital services within the local community. Following a review, shortlisting and voting process, one or two charities will be selected to receive funding. The award will be either £5,000 for one charity or £2,500 each for two charities.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Have a regular presence at, whether this is through fundraising or awareness raising activities, work experience/employment/careers education opportunities for beneficiaries or collaborating on community events.
  • Where possible, provide a minimum of one volunteering opportunity for Destination colleagues to provide practical support to the charity.
  • Provide a report at the end of the bursary year with an overview of how the funding was spent, including outcomes and impacts.
  • Support our annual volunteering day.

Charities wishing to apply should complete the application form as soon as possible.

We look forward to receiving applications from charities interested in partnering with us for 2026.

Our current partner for 2025–2026 is:
