Get ready to make a splash as The Esplanade comes alive with the sights, sounds and flavours of Thailand.

We’re celebrating Songkran, the Thai New Year festival, with an unforgettable afternoon of culture, community and a little bit of water-fuelled fun. In partnership with Thaikhun, this vibrant celebration invites you to immerse yourself in tradition then cool off in true Songkran style.

What to expect

From 12 - 2pm, The Esplanade will transform into a lively Thai festival setting, featuring:

• Traditional Thai dancing, performed at intervals throughout the event
• A huge communal water fight, with water pistols and water shooters provided by Thaikhun
• Plastic ponchos available for those who’d prefer to stay (a little) drier
• Free Thai tea samples
• A Singha beer pop-up bar
• A Spin-to-Win prize wheel with exclusive discounts and prizes from Thaikhun
• Songkran is all about fresh starts, washing away bad luck and coming together — so expect big energy, great flavours and plenty of reasons to stay awhile.
